Kutztown Hosts Rural Water Drill
Kutztown Community Fire Company, May 31
Yesterday Kutztown hosted the annual ELCO drill in the form of a rural water movement drill. This drill involved 13 local fire departments including every ELCO department, simulating a large commercial fire in a non-hydranted area of our first due. 1st Due Working Fire

At approximately 2:30 p.m. today, Lebanon County Department of Emergency Services dispatched the 32-01 box for a reported residential structure fire. Deputy 32 reported smoke showing upon approach and arrived to find an active fire on a small attached deck of a single-wide manufactured home, with flames visibly extending into the soffit area.

Working Barn Fire in the 40 Box

Engine and PT responded as a part of the 1st alarm assignment into Bethel Township this afternoon.
Engine 32 arrived as the second due engine company and were advised to beach in the neighbors driveway and assist RE40s crew with suppression. Numerous Poles Down with Subjects Trapped

Early this afternoon LCDES sent out a pole and wires down call in the area of E Kercher Ave and Runway Drive.
Chief 32 along with Engine 32 arrived to find 4 poles completely down with another hanging, as-well as a vehicle in the middle of the mess with wires on top of the vehicle.

Reported Commercial Fire in the 1st Due

Around lunch time today box 32-03 was sent out for a reported Business/Commercial Fire.
Assistant 32 marked up and was advised caller reported a large amount of smoke from their large sawdust collection hopper. Upon arrival found the incident to be as described.

Last night refreshed their vehicle rescue skills with some help from the Mt Zion Fire Company.

Mulch Pile Fire in the First Due

In the early afternoon yesterday Station 32 along with 31 and 40 were alerted to a report of a mulch fire on East Strack Drive.

Hazmat Incident in the 32-01

Shortly after 2:30 Stations 32 and 31 were alerted to a report of a Chlorine leak in the 600 block of Stracksdam Road.
PT32 and R31 made the response. With the additional information the Lebanon County Hazmat Team was requested to the scene along with E31 for additional manpower and, EMS from 140.
