| At approximately 2:30 p.m. today, Lebanon County Department of Emergency Services dispatched the 32-01 box for a reported residential structure fire. Deputy 32 reported smoke showing upon approach and arrived to find an active fire on a small attached deck of a single-wide manufactured home, with flames visibly extending into the soffit area.
Engine 32, staffed with four personnel, arrived as the first engine and deployed two attack lines. They were followed by PT32, with a crew of three, which pulled an additional line to protect exposures and established a water supply for Engine 32. Engine 31 arrived as the second due engine, laying 1,500 feet of supply line from the nearest hydrant to PT32.
Crews from stations 32, 31, and 40 were able to quickly bring the visible fire under control. However, fire extension into the roof space required crews to open the ceiling, with SOC33 assisting. Tower 48, initially assigned as the Rapid Intervention Team, was also reassigned to the roof to assist with ventilation. Once the affected areas were fully opened up, the fire was brought under control.
Thank you to all the mutual aid departments for there assistance! |
